Connecting Solid Edge to the Standard Parts Library.

This article shows how to link Solid Edge to the Standard Parts Library.

Open Solid Edge

Open any Assembly file (*.ASM)

    -Note: Important options will be hidden if an Assembly file is not open.

Open the Solid Edge Menu from the icon in the top left.

Select  Settings  from the menu

Select  Options  from the Settings sub-menu

Select the File Locations tab

Highlight  "Standard Parts Configuration File"  in the list

Click Modify at the top of the screen

In the Address bar of the Browse window, enter  \\bec-fs05\sparts

Choose  PMGlobalSettings.pmsx   from the listed files, then click open

After clicking Open, you should now have the path and name of the file shown in the Location column, next to "Standard Parts Configuration File" .

Congrats! You now have access to the Standard Parts Library!
